Proper Presents: SOUNDS with Phantogram

On August 13, The Quill Room played host to an energetic, late night afterparty, hosting acclaimed duo Phantogram for an exclusive performance following their opening set for Kings of Leon at the Moody Center earlier that evening.

Phantogram, composed of Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel, has been a dominant force in the alternative music scene since their 2010 debut. Renowned for their captivating blend of dream pop, electronica, and trip-hop, the duo has enchanted global audiences with their atmospheric soundscapes that push the boundaries of experimental pop.

The night at Austin Proper offered fans a rare, up-close experience with the duo, with Josh Carter taking to the decks to perform an unforgettable DJ set—including a surprise debut of an unreleased track from Phantogram’s upcoming album.
