Luminex 2.0: Projected Realities

Luminex—the award-winning outdoor digital art exhibition—returned to Downtown L.A.’s South Park District for the presentation of Luminex 2.0: Projected Realities. Curated by NOW Art, the artist-led exhibit explores the meaning of ‘Projected’ in step with the artists’ perceived realities through augmented reality installations, immersive artworks, a digital drone activation, live performances, and sound feeds.

In celebration, DTLA Proper hosted an exclusive cocktail hour for artists and partners alike, featuring a remarkable performance by visual artist and musician Morgan Sorne.

We were also proud to partner with Luminex as a sponsor of Projected Realities, presenting artist Mark Hashimoto’s artwork Daydreaming at our historic landmark building. Hashimotos’s augmented reality art piece evokes a sense of surrealism and the uncanny, leaving viewers in a state of tensions between reality and fantasy.
